Visiting Reed will allow you to experience the tangible qualities of the Reed community that our literature cannot convey. To get the most from your visit, we recommend that you plan to spend at least half a day, and up to 24 hours, on the campus.
The admission office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., throughout the year. We will also be taking telephone reservations for visits to campus on select Saturdays this fall (see chart at right for dates).
You may schedule a campus visit by calling the admission office at 800/547-4750 and asking to schedule a campus visit. When possible, we appreciate two weeks notice. You may also request a visit online when your visit is at least two weeks away.
While you are here you can attend an information session, a tour, and an interview, if requested. When classes are in session you can also visit a class and stay overnight in a dorm.
The information session will offer Q&A, which is a great time to get your questions answered. The interview is an opportunity for you to speak individually with one of our admission counselors or student interns in a relaxed setting for 20 or 30 minutes. Interviews are not required for application to Reed, and you will not be at a disadvantage in the admission process if you do not schedule one.
*September 26 is the first day of Discover Reed, our fall visit event. We will not be open on Saturday, September 25th.
